Bluberi Games enters Canada with Alberta deal
AGLC platforms will host manufacturer's gaming machines
Gaming product and technology company Bluberi Games has entered the Canadian market through a deal with Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis.
AGLC’s casinos will host Bluberi’s gaming offerings across the province, the crown corporation announced on April 4.
Bluberi will bring “a high-quality gaming experience” through a range of their top-performing titles such as Devil’s Lock and Rocket Rumble, said an AGLC statement. Installation of the manufacturer’s games will begin in the spring.
“Alberta players want the latest, most popular slot games so adding the Las Vegas-based electronic gaming machine manufacturer Bluberi Gaming to casino and racing entertainment centre floors is exciting,” said Steve Lautischer, Executive Vice President, Business Development at AGLC. “Their slot games will both enhance players’ entertainment experience while continuing AGLC’s stewardship of a socially responsible environment.”
AGLC said it will work with Bluberi to integrate the corporation’s GameSense responsible gambling tools and features that promote healthy gambling habits to players.
Bluberi Games has several game development studios across North America focused on crafting player-centric slot themes, including one in Drummondville, Quebec, and another in Moncton, New Brunswick. One of those games, Pixel Jam, launched last year under the management of veteran game designer Frank Leger.
Now, its Canadian footprint will not only comprise game development out east but offerings in casinos in Alberta as well.
Leadership reshuffle
The Canadian expansion comes amid a leadership reshuffle at Bluberi.
The company announced last month that it had promoted VP of Sales Steve Kohon to Chief Operating Officer effective March 1 as the product and technology company pursues its growth goals.
Then, on April 4, Bluberi welcomed former Konami, Aristocrat, and Light & Wonder staffer Scott Richards as its new VP of Commercial Strategy and Business Development.
