Martin Stålros will replace Simon Hammon as CEO in October 2024.
Relax Gaming is undergoing a leadership change.
The iGaming content supplier announced that it has appointed Martin Stålros as CEO, an industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience in the gaming. Stålros, who has been at Relax Gaming since 2015, is replacing Simon Hammon as CEO. Hammon will remain in his position until October 2024 and will assist in the transition process.
“I am delighted to see Martin Stålros stepping up to the CEO role at Relax Gaming,” said Relax Gaming Chairman Patrik Osteraker. “Martin has been involved with Relax from the very early days and has had a material impact on the success of the company. As the business and organization continues to mature and grow we feel that Martin has the ideal profile needed to support and guide us on our ambitious growth trajectory.”
Relax Gaming, which has a portfolio of over 700 operator brands, became one of the first iGaming suppliers to enter the Ontario gaming market. In 2022, the company was awarded a supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Relax Gaming debuted in the market with over 120 games delivered across multiple operators.
Relax Gaming building portfolio
Stålros’ appointment as CEO adds to a busy start to the year for Relax Gaming.
The company secured a deal in March with Light & Wonder to provide its proprietary content to various markets in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. That same month, Relax Gaming solidified its presence in Italy through a pact with gambling operator SKS365.
Relax Gaming has also expanded its reach in Europe through a partnership in Hungary with gambling operator LVC Diamond Kft and its brand Vegas.hu.
